Postural Assessment
1 hour – 1.5 hours → £250
Includes a full comprehensive assessment and tailored plan to address findings.
Full Postural Assessment: What to Expect
This 90-minute assessment provides a detailed picture of your posture, strength, mobility, and movement. It is more comprehensive than the quick, injury-focused screening included in a sports therapy session, with the full 90 minutes dedicated to assessment.
What’s Included:
Head-to-toe postural assessment: Examining your alignment from your toes and foot arches through your ankles, knees, hips, pelvis, spine, shoulders, neck, and head.
Movement and range-of-motion testing: Assessing how your joints and body regions move, identifying restrictions and differences between sides.
Strength and stability testing: Checking strength in different areas of the body and how well you control and support movement.
Functional movement assessment: Looking at how different parts of your body work together during everyday movements and exercise, including any compensations.
Walking and running gait assessment: Analysing how you walk and run to identify movement patterns that may relate to your concerns or performance goals.
Special tests where required: Using additional clinical tests when your symptoms or assessment findings indicate a need.
Discussion of findings and next steps: Explaining the results and recommending exercises, treatment, or other support suited to your needs.
How It Can Help:
The assessment brings these findings together to help you understand where you are now and what to work on. It can identify areas of weakness, restricted mobility, or movement inefficiency, helping guide a personalised plan to improve strength, stability, comfort, and performance.
For people experiencing pain or recovering from injury, it can help explore factors that may contribute to their symptoms. For active individuals and athletes, it can highlight areas to address in training and support decisions about managing physical demands and injury risk.
Who Can Benefit:
Anyone wanting a fuller understanding of their posture and movement.
People looking to improve strength, mobility, balance, or exercise technique.
Those recovering from injury or experiencing ongoing pain or discomfort.
Desk-based professionals with concerns about stiffness or comfort at work.
Athletes seeking to understand their walking, running, and wider movement patterns.

Sports Therapy: What to Expect
Sports therapy sessions last 50–60 minutes and include a brief assessment tailored to your injury or concerns, followed by treatment and/or exercises.
This is different from the full postural assessment, which takes 90 minutes for the assessment alone. The assessment within a sports therapy session is a quick, focused check to guide your treatment.
A typical session includes:
New-client form — approximately 5 minutes: You’ll complete a form covering your medical history, injuries, and concerns. This is only required for new clients and is included in your session time.
Focused assessment — approximately 5–20 minutes: Depending on the complexity of your injury or concerns, I’ll carry out a quick postural screening and relevant range-of-motion tests. Where appropriate, I may also assess strength, flexibility, joint stability, and movement. We’ll discuss your goals and expectations.
Treatment and/or exercises — the remaining session time: I’ll choose the approach most appropriate for your needs based on the assessment. This may include massage, cupping, dry needling, joint mobilisations, stretches, or strengthening exercises.
What to wear: Wear clothing that allows you to move freely and lets me assess the relevant area. Men should bring shorts; women should wear shorts and a sports bra.
You don’t need a specific injury to benefit from sports therapy. Sessions can also address movement concerns, muscular imbalances, and performance goals.

My clinical and educational background in Nutritional Therapy, Sport & Exercise Rehabilitation, and Nutrigenomics, alongside experience working with professional athletes, informs how I plan and adapt your training.
What to Expect in Your Sessions:
A check-in and warm-up: We’ll discuss how you’re feeling and prepare your body for the session with relevant mobility and warm-up exercises.
Personalised training: I’ll guide you through exercises selected for your goals, which may include strength training, conditioning, balance, mobility, and movements relevant to your sport or daily activities.
Technique and coaching: You’ll receive feedback on exercise technique, posture, and movement control, with exercises and intensity adjusted to your ability and progress.
Regular progress reviews: Each month, we’ll review relevant measures such as body composition, strength, mobility, and functional movement. Any postural checks are brief screenings to guide your training.
An evolving programme: I’ll use your progress and feedback to adjust your plan, keeping it appropriate, challenging, and focused on your goals.
If you’re returning to exercise after an injury, your training will take account of your recovery stage and any relevant clinical guidance.
